WHAT SORT OF RESPONSIBILITIES CAN WE OFFER FOR NEW BOARD MEMBERS?
We are not recruiting for predetermined positions as we believe that the best team is built by accounting for each other’s interests and strengths. Thus, we do not want you to get too stuck on titles or roles, as they will be decided together with the new board after the selection process.
Responsibilities and opportunities we offer for the new board members:
Blog & digital content: creating value for our community by writing and drafting, for example, insightful blog posts, email newsletters, and informational content on digital media channels
Digital media: managing and developing our digital media channels, such as our website and Instagram account
International collaboration: building our external relations across Europe and beyond by creating a platform for connecting like-minded students from similar associations across top universities
IT: taking care of our IT systems, event production and other more technical aspects of our day-to-day operations
Treasurer: managing our finances by, for example, conducting yearly budgeting and preparing financial statements
Decorations: building the decorations of our events and making sure our event venue look beautiful
Photography & videography: helping to build our brand and creating lasting memories by taking photos (and video) of our events and internal activities
Community: building a tight-knit board and alumni community by organizing various internal events and activities
Events: directing our events by assigning responsibilities, creating schedules, contacting speakers, and designing event formats and content
Operations: taking care of our support operations by handling our event catering and logistics operations and by providing general support to all board members
Communications: managing our communications with external stakeholders, including our broader community, Aalto university and other associated parties, by being responsible for our Telegram, email, and Facebook channels
Brand & visuals: developing our brand by building our visual identity, creating graphics, and making sure our identity stays true to our values consistently and across channels
Partnerships: ensuring partnership funding for our association by developing our partnership activities, conceptualizing new ways of attracting partner interest, drafting partnership proposals, and managing communications with existing partners
